Meteorites, formed in space, are some of the oldest and most fundamental objects in our solar system. The process of their formation, through collisions with other materials in space and exposure to heat and friction during their descent into the Earth's atmosphere, gives them their unique shapes. This process served as inspiration for the METEORITE collection. Through digital means, chunks of crystalline digital material are generated algorithmically. These digital rocks are then subjected to further erosion, cutting, and manipulation by a computer program, to reveal sculptural qualities that inform the design of the bathroom collection. All items in the collection are made of natural quartz sand and produced using state-of-the-art 3D printing technology.
